The Lake Orion Farmers’ Market is a volunteer organization that seeks to provide local farmers and artisans with profitable direct-marketing opportunities in an entertaining and family-friendly atmosphere, to strengthen and support local farmers and to bring people together in a community activity. The markets’ goal is to supply the citizens of Lake Orion and the surrounding community with a wide variety of high quality, fresh, primarily organic or naturally grown, and locally-produced foods and plants as well as natural products, all in a convenient location. In addition, the volunteers of the Lake Orion Farmers’ Market seek to educate the public about nutritional, economic, environmental and social implications of eating seasonally and locally.
